I went to Goodwill and thrifted through their frames and picked out this radically cool vintage frame that called to me the loudest.
It wasn’t perfect. It was worn. A little scuffed. But that’s what I love… because those little scratches and dents? They’ve got history.
So I brought it home. Pulled out my Dixie Belle paint — that moody blue that makes everything feel grounded. Brushed it on, not worrying too much if it looked “too neat.” I even let some paint slide onto the gold edge… and instead of covering it, I left it. Because… that’s real. That’s story.
Now, here’s the fun part. I thought I’d paint the lettering by hand… but then I remembered my handy-dandy Cricut. So I cut the words Wear the Story out of vinyl. Peeled, placed, pressed. And suddenly, it was bold and clean — exactly the look I wanted.
That’s Piney Creek Bazaar in three words. Not just clothes. Not just décor. It’s about pieces that have lived a little. Pieces that carry a whisper of where they’ve been. Pieces that help you tell your own story when you take them home.
I sealed it with our Piney Creek Bazaar emblem at the bottom — like a little signature saying: “yep, this is us.”
Now it’s done. Bold. Honest. A little messy if you look close — but that’s what makes it real.
And when it hangs in the booth, it won’t just be a sign. It’ll be a reminder:
Don’t just wear clothes. Wear the story.
